Can A Tumor In The Liver Be Treated?

My father’s CT scan report says there is a solitary hepatic lesion – consistent with neoplasm. Possibilities. 1. HCC 2. Metastases The CT scan was advised when his blood test result showed high alkaline phosphatase with a count of 700 and alpha fetoprotein count was 1600+ an ultra sound scan showed that there was a tumor in his liver. After seeing the CT scan report, the doctor confirmed it and said it is about 15 cms big and there is no cure at this stage. I can share the detailed CT scan report. Can you please advise me if there is a treatment at this stage?

Hello,

You have been diagnosed as liver tumour esp. Primary or secondary. The mass is large in size as well.

So it might be spread to other organs or it can be present in the liver due to spread from other organs.

I suggest you investigate with a bone scan or PET scan as well for further workup.

You should consult nearby oncologists for a detailed evaluation.
