Hi, I am 29 years old. 5 months ago I was masturbating a boy and his semen got in contact wiht some open wounds i have on my finger from biting the little skins around the neils. I cleaned it with a paper tissue. After 4 months i cought a cold and now my throat is sore and i am really afraid that i got hiv. I would like to know what are the chances of getting hiv after what happened.
Hi first of all your symptoms are not of hiv. you have some upper respiratory tracct infection. Symptoms of hiv are persistent fever, chronic diarrhoea, weight loss, weaknesses, lymphadenopathy frequent infection etc. in your incidence there is very little chance of hiv still its better you should go for confirmatory hiv testing onc. You can go with p24 antigen or pcr. thanks for using health care magic.
Hello.thank you for sharing your problem with hcm HIV infection can only occurs if the person contacts someone's blood or semen who is having HIV infection. So in your case we need to know if that person is having HIV or not. If not then you are totally safe. If yes then you should go for test. You can ask for further queries. Wish you good health.
