My son is 2 months old and was born what looks like a skin tag in the inside of his mouth on the wall of his bottom lip. We have an appointment with a specialist next month. However our concern is that it is getting larger. The colour of this skin tag is the same colour as the inside his mouth. Is it possible that this is a cyst and can be drained or removed?
Noted your history about your 2 month old son who has a mucosa/skin tag arising from mouth, it is getting larger and have an appointment with a Specialist next month. Such appearance is quite rare and hence must be a matter of a study; posting a photograph would have helped me a lot. Whether a skin tag or mucosal tag or a cyst, this can surely be removed. So no worry. I hope this is not causing any problem with feeding. Prepone appointment if possible or consult an ENT or plastic Surgeon, preferably a Pediatric Surgeon and get operated at the earliest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
