Can A Person Survive For 27hours Without Hospitalization After A Heart Stroke?
My husband was just on a cruise line and he had a heart attack in the morning around 4AM by 10AM they said he had a blockage and 30% of his heart was damage My husband lasted until the following morning at 830AM, wanted to know if he had gotten to a hospital and off the ship could he have made it being he stay 27hours on the ship after the heart attack
hello I understand your concern. that's a very genuine question. i would like to make the following comments 1. after the onset of heart attack- the most important thing is EARLY treatment. the earlier the treatment is, the better is the outcome. Because after the first few hours there is permanent damage to the heart. 2. in your husband's case early and prompt treatment would have surely helped him 3. without treatment how long can a patient survive after heart attack, is difficult to say. but as time passes the outcome worsens. even with best treatment 5 out of 100 patients die by 30 days
