Can A Person Suffering With Productive Cough Visit A Tuberculosis Patient?
My 94 yo Dad who lives in the Philippenes was diagnosed of TB stage 1. I m from the US and planning to visit him and take care of him while I m there.I have congestive heart failure. I m coughing with a phlegm. Do I need to wait till my cough is gone? Get TB vaccine? I will bring protective gown and respirator mask and gloves. Will I catch it?

yes pulmonary tb is infections and contagious.if tb is in lympnode/ or any other. organ its not contahious.
and yes you have to get yourself treated as your immune syatem is weak.
yes there might be changes of get infected.you can carry a mask.
