Can A Person Suffering From Severe Pseudomonas Infection Take Anusol Without Causing Any Side Effects?

Hi, I was just diagnosed with Pseudomonas and am being treated with Meropenem (3 times a day) and Tobramycin (once a day) by IV. I also have developed hemorrhoids and was prescribed Anusol suppositories by my doctor. However, on the list of side effects, it says Anusol could make an infection worse or prevent it from healing. Is it okay to take this with a serious Pseudomonas infection? Why would my doctor prescribe this knowing the possible risk?

There is no problem with this cream and the infection you're facing. There is no problem with any infection as a matter of fact. You shouldn't worry about it! Just follow your doctor's advice.
