Can A Parasite Cause Severe Pain In The Wrist?

Absolute Eosinophils at 653 discovered after seeking other treatment besides surgery for tendon issue and numbness in hands. It is suggested that a parasite might be the issue. Is it possible for a parasite to cause extreme pain in the tendons (wrist) and trigger finger? The test for parasites is very expensive. It has been suggested to take medication without test. I m not in favor of that. I also have reoccurring itch and sometimes rash on bilateral body parts. As well as reoccurring drainage with itch in one ear.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is not related to parasites.
As first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.
If symptoms persist consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
