Can A Meth User Transfer Meth To Her Child Through Skin Contact?

Is meth transferable skin to skin? I'm asking because I'm in the process of adopting a child through social services and he still gets two weekly visits with his mother who is a frequent meth user. He is only 20 months old and I'm concerned that her bad choices could continue to effect him even though I'm trying to remove him from the situation.

Hi,

No, meth is not transferable from skin to skin contact. So you need not worry about his weekly visits from his mother.

Best wishes.
