Can A Head Lump With Numbness, Neck Soreness And Stiffness Be Treated?

My husband was in a rollover car accident 2 weeks ago, he fractured his patella which are healing fine. What I am concerned about is the lump that just showed up on the back of his head. His neck has been sore and stiff this whole time, and the back of his left rear side of his head is still numb? What type of doctor should we see?

Neurologist 's  Response
Hello!

My name is Dr. Aida and I am glad to attend you on Healthcaremagic!

His symptoms are quite normal after a head concussion. The lump is related to soft tissues injury. There is nothing to worry about. It will probable get better within some weeks.
If he experiences dizziness, or gait disturbances, I would recommend going to the ER for a brain CT scan. A neurologist consult would be needed.
Hope to have been helpful!
Best wishes!
