Can A Decongestant Be Taken For Nasal Congestion?

Hi, Ive had nightly congstion for over a month that turned into a post nasal drip for three days with sore throat. My mucus has been clear up to now. Im experiencing extreme nausea, congestion, sweating, and no fever. What should I do? I have graves disease but have been taken off metimozole due to normal levels. Is it ok to take a decongestant or could till be something that warrants a doctors visit. Fyi. my normal temp is 97.7 my current temp is 98.5 would that be considered a temperture for me?

Hi, thank you for posting your query on health care magic.

Yes,you can take nasal decongestant drops like Oxymetazoline in case of severe nasal blockage.

Also do steam inhalation.

Drink lots of warm fluids.

Also use Saline nasal spray.

Sleep with little head end of the bed raised.

And from the information provided by you,you have no fever at present.

Hope this answers your question.
Take care.
