Can Vicks Cough Syrup Cause Diarrhea?

I have had diarrhea for the past three days. I have taken diphenoxylate=atrop2.5-o. It is prescribed for two tablets every four hours. I have an appointment with doctor tomorrow am. Do y0u have any idea what is causing this? Could Vicks cough medicine for nighttime cause this?

Don't try self medication without doctor consultation and examination....

Vicks cough lozenges usually doesn't lead diarrhea

Here if fever, mucus in stool etc if not present than it could be non bacterial diarrhea...

For which you can be prescribed probiotic tablet..
For diarrhea antisecretory drug like racecadotril prescribed....

Drink more water and maintain hydration....

Take small meal with frequent interval

Avoid smoking, alcohol and excess spicy and fried foods....
