Can Venlafaxine And Mobic Cause Upper GI Bleeding?
I take Venlafaxine (300mg), Atenolol (50mg), and Mobic (15mg) daily. I have been taking the Venlafaxine and Atenolol for months, and the Mobic for 2 weeks. I notice no interaction problems, but dugs.com says that Venlafaxine and Mobic can cause upper GI bleeding and Atenol and Mobic cause increased potassium levels. I take Atenolol primarily as a headache deterrent. I used to get headaches almost daily, but none since I started taking it. The Mobic is for my back (a pinched nerve) and so far Mobic has worked great for that.

It is true that your medications can have these side effects, the most serious would be GI bleeding with Mobic, and the other medications have minor side effects that are not so concerning.
But most patients can take Mobic without any problems, so I would recommend you just watch out for any signs of GI bleeding such as abdominal pain or black, sticky stools.
If you do not have these symptoms and otherwise feel fine, it should be fine to continue to take your medications as long as you need to.
