Can Vayacog Be Taken While On Donepezil?

I am an 88 year old male and I have been experiencing loss of short term memory. A neurologist has prescribed Vayacog capsules, once a day but I have not seen much improvement. On Wednesday my cardiologist prescribed donepezil for my memory but I forgot to ask if I should first discontinue the Vayacg. The pharmacist where I picked up the donepezil was not sure. What do you think ?

Donezdpil is a cholinesterase inhibitor that reduces or prevents acetylcholine breakdown in brain tissue. Donepezil is used to treat mild to moderate dementia like that found in patients with Alzheimer's disease. Donepezil is not a cure; it reduces symptoms. It have serious side effects, so you have to stop above drug before taking Donepezil. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
