Can Valparin 200mg Syrup Be Administered For Permanent Cure From Seizures?

Hello Sir, my son is 19 months old and doctor give Valparin 200 syrup for 3 years course, daily 2 ml twice. This is because he fell unconscious whenever he is crying. We took a MRI scan of Brain but it is clear and no defect found as per Neurologist, but he made ECG of Brain, then he found some fault that Neurologist told there are some chances again to fell unconscious, so he recomended 1)Gardenal 30 for one month and 2)Valparin 200 for 3 years. My question is how my son can come out of this dangerous situation and if yes then how can he will be cure and he will become fault less.

Hello,

Nothing much to worry and your treatment is in the right track. Valparin has to be continued till five years. Rarely in some individuals, the problem persists and lifelong treatment is required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
