Hi, I have a pain under my right rib. A little history: I was in a motorcycle accident 6 months ago and hurt my left ribs and back. The doc has been giving me Tramadol. My question; can the tramadol cause liver swelling, the pain is like a pinch inside under my rib. Thank You
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Yes, tramadol is given in pain in ribs. Tramadol is centrally acting painkiller (acts on brain). It is safe for liver and kidney so tramadol can not cause liver enlargement. Your current pain is mostly due to injury in the past. You can take tramadol for these kind of pains. Also apply warm water pad on affected areas of chest. Avoid movements causing pain. Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
