Can Terazosin Be Replaced By Jalyn For The Treatment Of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia?

I have been taking terazosin and dutasteride pills daily for BPH.. for the past few years (my age 70 to 78).. and my sex-drive and ability to get an erection have disappeared, due to terazosin I presume. Should I change to Jayln (combo of dutasteride & tamsulosin)...OR to Cialis.. daily at low-dose of 2.5 to 5 mg/day?

Hi,

Terazosin and Tamsulosin both belong to the same group of medications called alpha blockers. Their mechanism of action and side effect profile is very similar. Although these medications can cause sexual side effects, low libido is not a common one.

If your sexual side effects are due to Terazosin then Jalyn is most likely to have the same side effects. Cialis will help if you are having trouble getting or maintaining an erection but it will not improve your libido.
