Can Raloxifene And Prolia Be Taken Together?

Can I take raloxafene and prolia at the same time? I have been taking raloxifene for many years since undergoing menopause but was just injected with prolia because I recently developed osteoporosis. I would like to keep taking raloxifene because it has additional positive effects besides those on bones. Thank you! Janet Wilson

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can take both drugs together, as no drug interactions are reported among these drugs. In fact, Raloxifene potentiates the bone building capacity of Prolia.

Wishing you good health.

Thanks.
