Can Prednisone Cause Dry Skin With Red Circular Spots?
I have circles of red with dry skin in them. I got a cotizone cream from my dr. but tit has scone nothing and I have 2 more spots which are smaller but still breaking out. only on my left side. strange huh! I might mention I have Pmr and giant cell arteitis and I', on Prednesone. Is this a side effect?

Well come to HCM
Here the chance of fungal infection is very likely and I would suggest the following medicine for this, prednisone may not be the cause neither the medical condition that you have,
1) Miconazole cream
2) Tab Griseofulvin 500 mg once in day for 10 days
if symptoms does not improved then clinical examination would be needed, have a nice day.
