Can ParaGuard IUD Cause Infertility?

I had the ParaGuard IUD put in shortly after I had my son in 2009. In 2011, I couldn t take the smell any longer and had it removed. Apparently my body and copper don t like each other. Now, I m having problems getting pregnant and I have been taking Clomid for 3 months now. Could the IUD have caused infertility?

Dear- thanks for using our service and I understand your concern. However,if you had an IUD removal without complications , you shouldn't worry about the possibility of infertility. However, if you had pelvic infections while had it or developed endometriosis, that is a cause of infertility. I would recommend to have an ovulation kit and measure the ovulation during 3 months. You need to have intercourse in the ovulation period, if you don't get pregnant, then have a checkup with your sexual partner. It might be problems in the sperm count, mobility and morphology too.
I hope that my advise has been helpful
