Can Nyquil When Taken Just Once Cause Serotonin Syndrome?

I recently took Nyquil to help me sleep as I have a bit of a cold and I take 30mg of Lexapro at around 8am in the morning. I read online after having taken it that this can sometimes lead to serotonin syndrome and I’m slightly worried. Should I force myself to vomit or just watch closely? Thanks for the feedback in advance. Also, sorry if this post seems stupid, I’m a very (obviously) anxious person.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Single dose of Nyquil doesn't cause serotonin syndrome or any related side effects. Nothing to worry and no treatment is required.

Wishing you good health.

Thanks.
