Hi,

Normaxin RT is mainly used for Diarrhea predominant IBS. It is used twice a day only in patients with severe loose stools (6-7/day). It contains an anticholenergic drug (Clidinium) that reduces your stool frequency, increases the transit time and makes your stool harder. Harder stools can worsen fissures. There is no rationale in using it along with a laxative. A gastroenterologist will help you in getting the correct prescription.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vaddadi Suresh
