Can Multivitamin Supplements Be Given Along With Coumadin For A Child?

Hi. My son is 10 years of age. He has a severe congenital heart defect called hypoplastic left heart syndrome. He has had three open heart surgeries and is doing well. Last week he had his annual cardiac exam at a the number one hospital for pediatric cardiology care. His doctor discussed starting him on a multivitamin. Kids with his condition are often smaller and grow more slowly than their heart healthy peers (as is the case with my son). I had been avoiding vitamins and supplements because my son takes coumadin and I don t want to alter the INR level. I know that is related to vitamin K- but not sure if there is a multivitamin that doesn t contain vitamin k.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this is the vitamin K and have not exceeded in dose then this is nothing to worry, still in case of doubt there are numbers of product available on counter which does not contains vitamin K, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
