Hello,

metronidazole and strepsil sore throat have no documented interaction. Metronidazole cannot be coadministrated with alcohol (ethanol) because of the disulphirame reaction. Strepsil contains alcohols but not ethanol. I hope you can understand the difference, because basic knowledge of chemistry is required.

So you can take both, although I don't get the point of taking strepsils. They are supposed to help with sore inflammed throat but your inflammation is not in your throat. It's in the mouth cavity only.

I hope you find my answer helpful!
You can contact me, if you'd like more details.

Kind Regards!
