Can Memantine Cause Vivid Dreams?

Could taking Memantine cause weird dreams in someone who has dementia? My 93 year old father sometimes has made strange comments about something is going to happen and it makes no sense. Just wondering if he dreams these things up and if it could be a side effect of Memantine.
