Can Loperamide 2mg Be Given To Kids Aged Between 6 And 9?

i have loperamide hcl 2mg. am going to central america with three grand kids and my daughter. last time we went to mexico her kids got uncontrollable diarrhea and vomiting. anyway ...can we use this for the kids age 6 and 9. the other kids are teenagers as big as we are. what dosage?

Loperamide is not safe in children and it can cause deleterious effects on them. You can give ORS solution.
