Can Listerine Cause Blisters In Mouth?

Yes I need to know if Listerine can cause blisters to form on the inside of your mouth or if this white patch that I have on my upper lip, does it come from the antibiotic that I am on due to a tooth infection? The name of the medicine is DoxDoxy-Cif.

Hi.
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain Listerine does not cause blisters in mouth and the white patch rather it can be due to side effect of the antibiotic combination that you are taking..
The antibiotics at times causes side effects in certain patients and blisters are one of the symptoms of the allergic reaction of antibiotics and either reduction in dose or change in medication can relieve..
Although once you finish the antibiotic course the blisters will resolve..

The white patch on the upper lip can be a fungal infection or due to dryness caused due to dehydration causing chapped lip or a hypopigmented spot that can be due to a number of reasons for which you need to consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and treatment can be planned according to the diagnosis..

Hope this information helps..
