Can Lisinopril Cause Extreme Swelling And Pain In Feet And Legs?

I had two heart valves repaired 8 weeks ago. My meds were adjusted 1 week ago and Lisinopril is one of the new ones. Could it be causing extreme swelling of my feet and legs, which just started 5 days ago? And my legs are very painful from feet to mid thigh.

hi
yes lisinopril may be the cause of swelling on your feet and legs and the pain is probabbly due to the swelling, would request you to visit the doctor .Till then I would advise you to decrease sail intake and place pillows under your feet so as to raise the feet which may help in reducing the pain and swelling.
take care .
