Can Lialda Cause Rectal Bleeding?
Hi taking 3 Lialda daily for maintenance of UC and recently had a bout of bloody diarrhea. Doctor is recommending 4 Lialda and Probiotics. I am a bit concerned that Lialda could be contributing to the diarrhea as it is a listed side affect. Does it make sense to go with recommendation to see if that settles things down then go back to three daily?

Well,this is not common side effect of this medication but you can always try to discontinue this for few days and see will your symptoms improve. If bleeding persist,then colonoscopy should be done.
