Hi,

Lamisil is brand name for an anti fungal cream (terbinafin). It can be applied on fungal infections anywhere in the body (skin / mucosa), in appropriate formulation. Both athlete's foot and vaginal candidiasis (which your doctor suspect) are fungal infections, and there is nothing wrong to use, as advised your doctor.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam TK, Pediatrician
