Hello,

Lafaxid is a drug that decreases stomach acid production and pan lipase is a pancreatic enzyme supplement. I believe that your doctor is covering his bases by treating you for possible gastric ulcers or chronic pancreatitis. It is unlikely that these drugs are causing your weight loss. I would advise you to undergo an endoscopy where the doctor will put a camera down your esophagus to see your stomach and intestines.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
