Can Klonopin Be Taken Along With Hydromet Cough Syrup For Anxiety ?
Hi. I take 0.1mg of klonopin every night for anxiety and to help me fall asleep. I went to the doctor today, as I ve been sick. It turns out I have bronchitis. So, I was prescribed antibiotics, was given a cortisone shot and was prescribed hydromet cough syrup for my cough. I took the hydromet about 2 hours ago and I m having a tad bit of anxiety. Would it be alright for me to take my klonopin, or even half of it now? I m just paranoid!!!

It is not advisable to take hydromet cough syrup while on klonopin. Taking hydromet along with other medications like klonopin that also cause central nervous system depression can lead to serious side effects including respiratory distress, coma, and even death. Since you have already consumed hydromet syrup about 2 hours ago and started to feel a bit anxious you may take half of the klonopin tablet and if you develop those side effects listed you must see your doctor immediately. You may also ask your doctor for alternate effective medicines to treat both anxiety and bronchitis safely.
