Can Keflex Cause An Allergic Reaction Just By Touching It?
I am allergic to Keflex with a reaction of a severe rash. My dog was just put on Keflex post surgery and after administering his first dose I developed a similar rash. I am not ingesting the medicine just putting the capsule in a pill pocket for him. Is this related?

Noted your history of being allergic to Keflex giving you rash, you handled the capsule to be given to Dog and you again got the rash, wants to know whether this can happen.
Such incidences arenot known to occur at least not in the medical literature till now; if a all just handling a particular medicine and getting a rash is the rarest of things known to me.
Hence it is best to find out any other cause of rash as you can develop allergy to anything under the sun.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Consult your Doctor immediately for clinical evaluation and get you started on proper doses of antihistamine and oral steroid.
Also a detailed history and clinical acumen of your Doctor may help to get the cause of rash so that you can avoid these things known to cause rash.
