Can Jejunum Swelling Be Treated, Also Have Chronic Pancreatitis?
I have chronic pancreatitis, however when I went to the hospital the last time they told me that my jejunum was swollen. When I eat I can feel it protruding from the left side. ( the right side is flat on the side and the left is swollen and painful) what am I to do about this?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of suffering from Chronic Pancreatitis, however told that jejunum is also swollen, you can feel the food protruding from left side, wants to know what should be done... I would advise you the following in such a situation. - Consult a Medical and Surgical Gastroenterologist for clinical evaluation and examination. Further investigations of CT enterography. X-ray of the chest for TB Tests of blood for CBC, TB and other expected diseases that can cause swelling of the jejunum. Therapeutic trial of the suspected disease can help. Occasionally a look-in surgery and biopsy to know the exact diagnosis.
