Can IBS Be Related To Thyroid Issue?

Experiencing constipation for over a year. I had a brain tumor behind my eyes the size of a golf ball. Since then, I have had IBS and cannot seem to shake it - I have tried all kinds of things, but the feces is always very hard and I struggle to pass it. Can it be tied to my pituitary gland and thyroid?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

IBS is not related to any of those and is most probably due to stress or trigger factors which you seem to be missing. This is not a short topic and quite honestly I have a lot to discuss with you and only wish you could write to me using our premium service wherein our discussions can be much longer and 2-way, unlike it is here. I specialise in IBS and chronic conditions of the GIT, and would like to help you not only as a specialist, but also as an IBS-suferrer for 8 years. Lifestyle changes, dietary do' and don'ts along with emergency medication to prevent episodes and furthwr worsening of the IBS is what I have to offer.

Best wishes.
