Can I Use Fluticasone Nasal Spray For Allergic Rhinitis?
i am suffering from allergic rhinitis for past 2 yrs.Previously i used fluticasone nasal spray. But,after applying the spray i used to sneeze 7-8 times at a single go.I followed up with the physician he advised me Montair-FX for 30 days. But,After using it i gained weight and have slightly high systolic pressure(138/82).Is it due to any aftereffects of Montair-FX?
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns. MONTAIR-FX tab contains montelukast 10 mg(Leukotriene receptor antagonist) , fexofenadine hydrochloride (Antihistamine) & is used for treatment of asthma and allergic rhinitis, to reduce inflammation and allergy.Antihistamine can increase appetite and lead to weight gain but neither montelukast nor fexofenadine cause high blood pressure. You can use Mometasone nasal spray 50 mcg 02 sprays each nostril once a day.
