Can I Take Alcohol When I Am Taking Omeprazole ?

hi i am taking omeprazole i would like to know if i can drink alcohol with them as its my friends wedding the weekend and it would be nice to have a drink with her as i am bridsmaid

You must understand that Omeprazole is given to prevent gastritis. Alcohol can cause severe gastritis and also limit the effect of the drug. You need to keep away from alcohol which on therapy for Gastritis or it will get worse.
