Can I Still Take My Lisinopril This Evening While Having Sneezing, Runny Nose And Sore Throat?

I take 10mg of Lisinopril nightly before going to bed (10:00PM). Unfortunately, today I have either allergies or the start of a cold (sneezing, running nose, slight sore throat and it feels like something is running down my throat). I just took a 25mg Benadryl tablet. Can I still take my Lisinopril this evening? Thank you.

Hi,

These 2 drugs have a moderate side effect that the simultaneous use of these 2 drugs may result into additive BP lowering effect, particularly, if used for a long time. However, use of a few doses of both these drugs concomitantly should not cause some significant increased anti-hypertensive effect.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
