General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.
I can understand your situation.

Primolut-N (Norethisterone) is a Progesterone only pill and it does not provide you protection against pregnancy.

Your wife needs to take an I-pill as early as possible but within 24 hours of the unprotected sex to get the maximum protection.

This can cause minor side effects like nausea, headache, mild irregular spotting and a delay in the periods.

Hope this answers your query.
Best wishes.
