Can I Opt Painless Vaccination For 5 Years Kid?

Hi, I am Vidya. My daughter is 5 years old. I had given all normal vaccines(with pain) to her till now. Now for 5 year vaccine, can I opt for painless vaccination? One doctor mentioned that if earlier vaccinations were with pain, then it is better to go with pain vaccine this time as well. Is that true?

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
At 5 years DPT vaccine is needed.
The Pertusis part of the vaccine causes pain when whole cell vaccine is given.
Now acellular Pertusis vaccine is available which is painless..
But whole cell vaccine is more efficacious than the acellular vaccine.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
