Can I Continue Low Dose Of Avanza For Insomnia While Suffering From Hypertension?

I have recently come off a low dose of Avanza for insomnia which caused my ankles to swell and a lot of weight gain. The swelling disappeared but a few days later I was diagnosed with hypertension which I may have had for about a year. I have started taking a low dose of Karvea for it which has brought it almost under control, but a few days ago my left ankle started swelling again, this time with a slight coldness or pins and needles, spreading to my lower left calf. Is this caused by the medication or the hypertension or something else? Also, I frequently urinate, but it is usually fairly small amounts and sounds very unproductive compared to other women. Is this related.

Hello
Welcome here.
I think swelling can be caused by hypertension.
I would also suggest you to get your blood sugar levels checked. The frequent urination can be caused diabetes.
You can take your insomnia and hypertension meds together.
Thanks.
