Can HIV Infection Spread Through Non Sexual Contact?

My husband has just recently had a heart stent put in, he is under the impressioon that he cannot be around a family member that has been diagnosed with the HIV virus, is this true? The family member wants to visit our home and my husband thinks that we will have to burn everything after the family member leaves.

First of all I want to tell you one thing that HIV can't survive in open air and without suitable media like blood or vaginal or cervical secretion or seminal secretions.
Intact skin is not a mode of transmission of HIV infection , even contract body to body is not a medium of HIV transmission.
So clear all thing to your husband , and don't take any thing as these all are myth about HIV.
