Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
You need no further testing for HIV. HIV testing would be conclusive by 3 months in normal circumstances and never becomes reactive beyond 6 months even in unusual situations. So you need not worry at all. HIV symptoms can manifest even beyond 5-7 years, but the blood test would be positive within 3 months time.

If your test was negative in last week of october 2013, then it is very unlikely you have HIV infection due to sexual encounter in July 2013. So you need not worry. But practice safe sex. HIV is infection and disease is caused AIDS , and incubation period is longer. As you were negative for HIV, you need not worry about symptoms.

Hematologist Dr. Hardik Sanghvi's  Response
Hi, its all depends on which kind of test you have gone through. Because hiv antibodies can not be detected for long time.which is known as window period. So if gone through confirmatory test then your chances are negligible. If you have not gone through that then go for confirmatory hiv test like p24 or pcr once.

Since you were negative at the end of three months , so in all probability you are negative . You can't have no HIV symptoms after one year unless you had a
re-exposure in this period .
