Can HCG Shots Cause Delayed Periods And False Positive In Pregnancy Test?
My wife has been to a doctor and she had been tested positive of pregnancy, she is been on HCG shots for every 10 days since then. is there any chance that she may not be pregnent and her periods are delaying due to HCG shots, its been almost 2 months since she got her last period

Hi, Well i can completely understand your concern. HCG shots when given in continuous could theoretically cause progesterone to be released from ovaries after ovulation and potentially leading to no periods. However, the best option here would be to do a simultaneous ultrasound of her pelvic region including uterus to look for signs of a live fetus. This is the best test at present to find out whether your wife is pregnant or not. Do let me know if you have any more questions.
