Can Grisovin Tablets Be Given To A Child For Extreme Hairfall?

Hi there, Is there any harm giving my 6.5 yr old daughter Grisovin tablets for hair falling out into bald patches as it could be from scalp ringworm that her little friends have been diagnosed with and their bald patches look like hers.Alopecia has been ruled out by dermatologist and she is on Novasone lotion 0.1%,Nizoral 2% which is helping to slow it down and make it grow back quickly but last 2 weeks it has started again and she has definitely been exposed to her friends scalp ringworm?

Hi.

There is no harm in giving grisovin to your child as it is most probably the more likely effective medication for ringworm if the others are not helping. Make sure you follow your doctors orders and I am sure all will be fine soon.

Best wishes.
