Can Gatifloxacin And Ornidazole Be Given For Anal Fissure?

Sir,
I have initially had gastic problem for which I used english medicines. After 1 month I have got severe constipation problem.
After that I got perianal absis. I was operated for that and it is removed.but even after 1 month the wound did not completely heal. pin size are is still unhealed. So I shifted to ayurvedic who have confirmed that as a fistula. ( and told it is formed in 90%) of cases after absis surgery. they have placed some medical thread from the unhealed point to somwhere inside anus and gradualy tightened it for one month. after that it was cut completely and said it will now heal properly. After 1 month I again have seen pain just beside the cut. when I went they have told it is piles and said medicines will suffice. but after 3 weeks also I did not find improvement. So I went to some english doctor again. He has examined and told it is anal fissure. Could it be that the cut that is made by ayurvedic doctors made doctor to belive that it is a fissue? I was given shield ointment, bizobid, gatifloxacin & ornidazole tablets. He said if it doesnt cure with medicins I have to get operated again. but gradually I felt better after using these medicines. Is it temporary? I dont want to get operated these many times. please sugest me a permanent solution. I am still 25 and has not even got married. I feel bad to get this sought of problems in this age. please suggest me the best cure for these.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, it is a case of healing perianal wound rather than fissure.

Current recommendations for better outcome are:
- Take regular basis sitz bath
- Keep the part clean with antiseptic liquid with ointment application
- Continue current medications as per doctor`s advice
- Dietary measures to keep stool soft

No requirement of repeat surgery at present, just have patience, wait for some time, as it may take almost 6 to 8 weeks for complete healing. For further assistance can go for private consultation with photograph of the area.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
