I had sudden jaw pain Saturday, when I was eating crunchy carrot salad. My jaw has been swollen below my left ear. I was just reading the info. on the Fosamax I take for osteoporosis, and read that jaw pain (osteonecrosis) can be a side effect of Fosamax. Info on line talks about bone death, and poor blood circulation ina an area of the body. I also have been having pain in my right leg for sometime. A possible side effect of Fosamax as well. I am wondering in I eat soft food and liquids for awhile, if the pain and swelling might go away. Or what other steps I should take at this time.
