Can Folitrax 15 Mg And Folic Acid Be Taken For Psoriatic Arthritis?

I have been taking Folitrax 15 mg once in a week and Folic acid alternate days for my psoriatic arthritis for the last 6 years and my doctor in India has been monitoring it reviewing once in three months after obtainig the blood picture. I feel psoriasis is under control and I donot have joint pains, perhaps owing to some active physical activity also. But, when I consulted a doctor in Canada for review after getting the bloood test report (which indicated all in normal range), he advised to stop taking Folitrax and Folic Acid as my condition is not severe enough to administer those drugs. So, I discontinued taking the medicin for the last two weeks on the advice. But I feel that some inflation seems to surface in my left knee. I think that it might be due to lack of physical exercise due to fall in temperature. Should I continue those drugs again or not ?
