Can Eptoin Be Taken While On Nexito?

I am taking tegretol and eptoin together for the past 25 years for seizures, this combition works out better. I have no seizures for 20 years, during 2014 I had sleeping problems , neuro doctor suggested me nexito plus 5 mg and eliminate the eptoin completely. Last week I got slight seizures , I am taking eptoin again now. Pl suggest me whether to continue eptoin or eliminate the nexito plus sir?
