Can Concor Be Taken For Rapid Heart Rate?

Hello doctor, would you please tell if I can take another half a tablet of 5mg Concor? I've taken one in the morning like everyday but now I feel very not comfortable because I think that I have high rate heart beats. Also, an hour earlier, I drank about 60 grams vodka (40% alcohol).

Hi There

No i would not recommend doing that as its a BETA BLOCKER it can significantly lower your heart rate.

The reason of your increased heart rate is your alcohol consumption as When you start drinking, according to the American Heart Association, the immediate effects of alcohol could cause your heart rate to increase slightly by acting as a vasodilator, causing blood vessels to dilate and blood flow to increase. Better avoid drinking alcohol.

Good Luck
