Can Concor Cor Be Immediately Ceased Upon Having Side Effects?

Hi, My father has been prescribed Concor cor 2.5mg tablet OD after breakfast. I would like to know in case of any side effects (like low pulse rate below 60), can we abruptly stop taking this tablet? If there is any problems after stopping it abruptly then what should be the right procedure to stop it? Fyi his age is 84 yrs. Thanks in advance!

Hello,your father taking concor tablet that is use for mentain blood pressure.

You complain that your father has problem of bradycardia.this is side effect of this drug.

Concor tablet sudden stoppage lead to bradycardia, bronchospasm, heard failure also.

Sudden stoppage can cause rebound hypertension means sudden increase blood pressure.

So in ischemic heat decides abruptly not stop a drugs .

plz gradually discontinue this drug not sudden.
